A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Position Summary We are seeking a candidate that can cover a two-hour window from Monday to Friday from 2:00pm to 4:00 PM. The Janitor is a team member responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards at an assigned secure client facility. This position requires professionalism, reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to follow established safety and security procedures while performing janitorial duties. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Clean and maintain assigned areas, including offices, restrooms, hallways, and other designated spaces. Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors using appropriate cleaning equipment. Dust, wipe, and sanitize assigned surfaces. Empty trash and dispose of waste properly. Restock restroom and cleaning supplies as needed. Maintain janitorial closets, supplies, and equipment in an organized manner. Follow all company, safety, and client-specific security procedures. Report supply needs, equipment concerns, or safety issues to the supervisor. Maintain accurate timekeeping records and follow company procedures. Perform other related duties as assigned. Required Skills & Qualifications Previous janitorial, custodial, housekeeping, or related cleaning experience preferred. Ability to read, write, and communicate in basic English or Spanish. Demonstrated reliability, integrity, and professionalism. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions. Ability to work independently while following established procedures. Ability to safely perform physical duties, including lifting to 50 lbs., standing, walking, bending, stooping, and repetitive movements. Background Check & Security Requirements Selected candidates must successfully complete a Federal Background Check and fingerprinting process prior to start of employment, which may take up to 3 weeks. Additional security forms and documentation must be completed as part of the onboarding process. Employees must follow all client security requirements while working onsite. Personal electronic devices, including cell phones and smart watches, may be restricted while performing work duties. Physical & Work Environment Work is performed at a secure client location in Santa Rosa, CA. Employees must follow all facility rules, safety guidelines, and security procedures. Work may involve exposure to cleaning chemicals, dust, and other typical janitorial conditions. Must be able to safely and efficiently perform repetitive physical tasks.
