Janitor We are looking for a dependable and hardworking individual to help maintain the overall cleanliness, sanitation, and appearance of our community. This position plays an important role in creating a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our residents, families, visitors, and staff. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, works well as part of a team, and is comfortable assisting wherever needed throughout the community. Responsibilities Maintain cleanliness throughout common areas of the community Keep common areas free of trash, debris, and other hazards Clean and sanitize public restrooms throughout the property Assist with general cleaning and sanitation needs Work closely with the Housekeeping and Maintenance departments Identify and report maintenance, safety, or cleanliness concerns Complete assigned tasks efficiently while maintaining quality standards Respond appropriately to changing priorities and work assignments Maintain resident, employee, and community confidentiality Respect residents' rights, privacy, and dignity Maintain a positive and professional attitude with residents, families, visitors, vendors, and coworkers Assist other departments and team members when needed Follow Ventura Townehouse policies, procedures, safety practices, and applicable state regulations Perform other related duties as assigned Requirements Must be at least 18 years of age Previous housekeeping, janitorial, hospitality, senior living, or similar experience is preferred Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work independently Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Strong attention to cleanliness and detail Ability to communicate professionally with residents, families, coworkers, and supervisors Must be comfortable working around and assisting elderly residents DOJ/FBI fingerprint clearance required Current First Aid certification required Negative TB test required Must meet applicable California RCFE, Title 22, Title 8, and company requirements Availability Candidates must be willing and able to work scheduled shifts that may include: Weekdays Evenings Weekends Holidays Overtime when necessary Physical Requirements This is an active position that requires regular movement throughout the community.

Candidates must be able to:

Stand, walk, stoop, and bend frequently Lift and push up to approximately 50 pounds Reach, grasp, and safely use cleaning equipment and tools Occasionally kneel, crouch, crawl, or climb ladders Occasionally operate small hand or power tools Work both indoors and outdoors, including during hot or cold weather conditions Maintain sufficient physical stamina to move throughout the community and assist during emergency situations when necessary Reasonable accommodations may be considered to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the position.
