As the daytime face of Sky5 Cleaning Systems, Inc., you will focus on high-visibility common areas, lobby maintenance, and rapid response cleaning. This is a secure, stable, long-term position with an established, trusted commercial cleaning company. Exact site addresses will be disclosed during the formal interview stage due to facility security protocols. Key Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of all designated areas using appropriate cleaning equipment, including floor buffers, vacuums, mops, and sanitation tools. Handle chemical agents safely by following proper handling procedures, storage protocols, and safety guidelines to ensure a secure work environment. Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling tasks to move furniture, supplies, and equipment efficiently while adhering to safe lifting practices. Maintain floors through buffing, polishing, and other floor care techniques to ensure a clean and professional appearance. Execute janitorial duties such as trash removal, restroom sanitation, surface cleaning, and restocking supplies to uphold sanitation standards. Assist with facilities maintenance tasks when needed, including minor repairs or reporting issues requiring specialized attention. Follow safety protocols rigorously during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Qualifications Must be punctual, dependable, and comfortable working in a professional government environment. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly. Must pass a standard criminal background check as mandated by the state facility contract. Strong communication and customer service skills. Skills Proven experience in commercial cleaning or custodial roles with knowledge of janitorial best practices. Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, vacuums, and sanitation tools. Ability to handle chemical agents safely by understanding chemical handling safety procedures. Strong manual handling skills with an emphasis on safe lifting practices for heavy or bulky items. Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with staff and visitors when necessary. Experience in industrial or residential cleaning environments is a plus. Knowledge of facilities maintenance procedures and basic repair skills enhances overall effectiveness.
