What they do

A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Job Description

Position Summary Job Functions:
1. Collect, haul and dispose of garbage throughout and at the end of your shift and keep receptacles clean inside and out. 2. Wipe down and sanitize cafeteria tables, benches and chairs before, during and after your shift. 3. Replace paper product dispensers and sanitation station products when empty. 4. Put tables and chairs away when lunch is over. 5. Dry mop the commons area after lunch. 6. Wet Mop the commons area with the mop machine. 7. Be diligent about cleaning up messes throughout your shift as they do happen frequently with so many kids. 8. Clean kitchen bathroom once a week or as needed. 9. Attend to the needs of the students and teachers if appropriate. 10. Must be able to lift 50 pounds repeatedly 11. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Must be able to perform in a high volume and highly paced environment Must keep pace with continuous turnover of kids throughout the shift Must be able to lift and maneuver trash, recycling and cafeteria tables Work Schedule Hours are 10:30 until 2:30 Monday through
Thursday Pay:
$16.95 - $22.40 per hour
