The Evening Custodian will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a welcoming environment for both staff and visitors. This role requires a proactive individual who can handle various cleaning tasks efficiently while adhering to safety standards.

Schedule:

Monday through Friday; 5:30pm - 8:30pm On average cleanings take 3 hours a night (15 hours a week total) Duties Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors with backpack vacuum. Maintain restrooms by ensuring they are clean, stocked, and sanitary. Empty trash receptacles and replace liners as needed. Conduct floor care activities such as buffing and polishing to maintain appearance. Assist with custodial duties in a commercial setting. Support facilities maintenance by reporting any maintenance issues or repairs needed. Ensure all cleaning supplies are stocked and organized. Follow safety protocols while using cleaning chemicals and equipment. Requirements Previous janitorial or custodial experience is preferred. Familiarity with floor care techniques, including buffing and polishing. Experience in commercial cleaning is a plus; industrial cleaning experience is also beneficial. Basic knowledge of facilities maintenance practices. Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively. Ability to lift and move items as necessary for cleaning duties. A positive attitude and commitment to providing excellent service.
