Construction Cleaner Job Description This role focuses on performing final cleaning services in an active data center construction environment. You ensure that server rooms and surrounding areas are clean, safe, and ready for use by thoroughly wiping down server racks, sweeping, mopping, and dusting the facility, including elevated areas. Responsibilities Perform detailed final cleaning of server rooms and surrounding facility areas, including wiping down server racks, equipment, and surfaces. Sweep, mop, and dust floors, walls, and other areas to maintain a clean and safe construction environment. Work at heights, including standing on ladders up to approximately 8 feet, to dust servers, wires, and elevated surfaces using appropriate tools such as broom dusters. Follow all safety protocols and OSHA guidelines while working on commercial and industrial construction sites. Operate lifts when certified, including scissor lifts and other construction lifts, in a safe and compliant manner as needed. Use cleaning equipment such as buffers and other industrial cleaning tools when required. Maintain a neat and orderly work area and properly store cleaning materials and equipment after use. Communicate professionally with site personnel and, when applicable, with customers during any onsite interactions. Adhere to scheduled working hours and reliably report to designated meeting points or job sites as directed. Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times and comply with all site-specific safety rules. Essential Skills Proven cleaning experience, ideally in a commercial or industrial environment. Experience working on commercial or industrial construction sites. Comfort working at heights, including on ladders up to approximately 8 feet. OSHA 10 certification. Construction site experience with adherence to safety standards. Lift certification, including experience with construction lifts. Ability to perform physical labor such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and working on ladders for extended periods. Reliability in maintaining a consistent Monday through Friday schedule from early morning to mid-afternoon. Additional Skills & Qualifications Janitorial or sanitation experience in any setting. Customer service experience involving direct customer interaction. Experience using buffers or other industrial cleaning equipment. Scissor lift or boom lift experience is a significant plus. Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety. Ability to work effectively in a team environment on active construction sites. Why Work Here? Required attire includes jeans and steel-toe boots, and all additional personal protective equipment (PPE) is provided. Some employees may meet at a designated Temple, TX location and ride in a company van to the job site, while others may drive directly to the Burlington area site, joining the team and clocking in upon arrival. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Burlington, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
