What they do

A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Job Description

Clean common areas of apartment complex. Duties may include emptying trash, dusting and vacuuming; polishing/cleaning furniture, cleaning fixtures, glass, window ledges, mopping floor areas. Clean vacant units in preparation for move-ins and performs spot cleans as necessary on all model or vacant units until occupied. Follows established cleaning schedule. Keeps sufficient inventory of cleaning or other materials necessary to complete assigned functions. Notifies Property Manager in advance of supplies needed to complete essential functions.
