A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Job Description
Granby Public Schools is seeking a motivated and dedicated individual for second shift part-time custodian. The custodian is responsible for the cleaning activities of the school building as assigned and immediate grounds, walkways, paths, exits, and entranceways. Primarily performs custodial work, but also performs minor maintenance tasks as required. The Custodian works under the combined supervision of the Head Custodian, Lead Custodian, Facilities Manager, Facilities Director, and also partners and accepts leadership from the School Principal. Hours for this position will be 4 hours per shift, Monday through Friday. Hours may be flexed between 5:00 - 9:00 pm and 6:00 - 10:00 pm depending on need. Entry rate of pay is $25.55/hr.
