Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Day Porter to maintain the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of our facility. As a Day Porter, you will play a key part in creating a positive impression of our facility through diligent cleaning and maintenance efforts. Responsibilities Perform daily cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, and restroom sanitation to ensure a spotless environment. Handle various cleaning agents and chemicals safely in accordance with established safety protocols to maintain sanitation standards. Conduct routine inspections of the premises to identify maintenance needs or hazards and address them promptly. Assist with light custodial tasks such as window washing, surface polishing, and minor repairs to uphold facility appearance. Support facilities maintenance activities including heavy lifting of supplies or equipment following safe lifting practices. Skills Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles. Familiarity with handling chemical agents safely and understanding chemical handling safety procedures. Skilled in using various cleaning equipment. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to safety protocols for manual handling tasks. Strong customer service skills with a professional attitude when interacting with staff or visitors. Knowledge of sanitation standards and best practices for maintaining clean and safe environments. Experience in facilities maintenance or general upkeep tasks including minor repairs or painting is a plus.
