Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented General Cleaner to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation, ensuring a safe, hygienic, and welcoming environment for clients and staff alike. Your proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance will contribute significantly to the overall appearance and safety of our premises. Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of floors, surfaces, windows, and fixtures using appropriate cleaning equipment and detergents. Implement sanitation procedures to ensure compliance with health and safety standards across all areas. Conduct commercial cleaning tasks, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping. Handle laundry duties such as washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens or uniforms as needed. Use manual handling techniques safely when lifting heavy objects or moving equipment to prevent injury. Manage cleaning schedules efficiently through effective time management practices to meet deadlines without compromising quality. Operate cleaning equipment safely and perform routine maintenance checks on tools and cleaning implements. Support management by adhering to established procedures for janitorial tasks in hospitality settings. Requirements Proven experience in custodial or janitorial roles within residential, commercial, or hotel environments is preferred. Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation procedures along with familiarity with various cleaning detergents and equipment. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks with physical endurance. Strong attention to detail when cleaning surfaces, floors, carpets, and outdoor areas. Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively throughout the workday. Ability to follow safety protocols related to chemical handling and manual handling techniques.
