BASIC FUNCTION

To provide maintenance repairs and preventative maintenance assignments to assigned skills.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform electrical and mechanical repairs to all Custodial equipment including but not limited to Floor Scrubbers, Buffers, Vacuums, Wet/Dry Vacs. Responsible for maintenance and carrying out preventative maintenance measures related to their demonstrated craft skill. Handles maintenance requests as assigned by the Supervisor of Maintenance or designee and paperwork involved in completion of assignment. Assists Maintenance A personnel when requested. Operates equipment as required including Fuel Delivery Truck and Bucket Truck. Other related duties as assigned including, but not limited to Painters, Groundskeeper, parking lot striping.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Ability to follow written, oral instruction and to maintain records and reports. Must obtain CDL "Class B" Commercial Driver's License with Hazmat Endorsement within one year of employment. Must be able to obtain a D.O.T. medical physical for a CDL "Class" B Commercial and Hazmat Endorsement. Physical ability to perform duties such as but no limited to lifting, bending, reaching overhead, standing for extended periods of time, etc. May be required to work extended hours or holidays, as operations require. 5 years-experience as Fireman Custodian or equivalent preferred. Acceptable scoring on the general maintenance test.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

Twelve Months Salary and benefits in accordance with negotiated agreement

EVALUATION

Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with Evaluation Procedure of the District.
