Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all designated areas. Handle chemical agents safely during cleaning processes, following all safety protocols for chemical handling and sanitation procedures. Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums to maintain floors and surfaces in pristine condition. Conduct heavy lifting tasks using safe lifting practices to move furniture, supplies, or equipment as needed for cleaning or maintenance. Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, kitchens, hallways, offices, and common areas to ensure compliance with health and safety standards. Assist with basic facilities maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs or minor repairs when necessary. Follow all safety protocols during custodial activities to prevent accidents and ensure a safe environment for staff and visitors. Skills Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles with knowledge of commercial or industrial cleaning procedures. Strong understanding of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and chemical handling safety procedures. Ability to operate various cleaning equipment including floor buffers and industrial vacuums efficiently. Excellent manual handling skills with the ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physical tasks regularly. Customer service orientation with a friendly attitude towards staff and visitors while maintaining professionalism. Knowledge of safety protocol adherence related to chemical agents, heavy lifting, and general custodial operations.
