Job Overview The Janitorial Services Employee is a trusted and essential member of the Harbour Beach Resort operations team. This position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and readiness of all common areas throughout the 8-story resort, ensuring a consistently positive experience for owners, guests, contractors, and staff. Because of the nature of this role, employees must exercise exceptional honesty, integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality at all times. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, able to perform physical tasks, and capable of working independently while communicating effectively with management, staff, and guests. This position directly supports the smooth daily function of the resort and plays a key role in creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. Essential Job Responsibilities

• Daily Cleaning & Sanitation
• Clean and sanitize all common-area restrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, partitions, and floors.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors throughout hallways, lobbies, stairwells, offices, and other common areas.
• Wipe and disinfect all high-touch surfaces, including doors, rails, counters, and seating areas.
• Clean the manager's office, staff areas, and storage rooms as directed.
• Polish stainless-steel surfaces, including elevator interiors, doors, and trim.
• Check, refill, and maintain all restroom supplies (toilet paper, hand soap, paper towels, air fresheners, etc.).
• Empty all common-area trash and recycling bins throughout the building.
• Replace liners and wipe down receptacles. Pool Deck & Exterior Areas
• Spray off and clean the pool deck daily.
• Empty pool-area trash bins and replace liners.
• Inspect pool deck for hazards, debris, or cleanliness concerns and report issues to management.
• Assist with setup, breakdown, and cleanliness of exterior spaces as needed.
• Transport waste to designated disposal locations safely and efficiently.
• Maintain cleanliness of dumpster areas and ensure proper waste-handling practices. Guest Support & Customer Service
• Provide courteous assistance to guests and owners when questions or concerns arise.
• Respond to minor issues or redirect guests to management when appropriate.
• Assist with luggage, packages, and guest needs when feasible and approved.
• Building Security & Access Control
• Ensure all common-area doors, mechanical rooms, storage areas, and restricted spaces are secured at proper times.
• Maintain strict control and responsible handling of master keys, unit keys, and access credentials.
• Immediately report any security, safety, or access irregularities to the manager. Maintenance Support (Light Duties)
• Replace light bulbs and batteries as needed.
• Report maintenance issues such as leaks, broken fixtures, malfunctioning equipment, or safety hazards.
• Assist maintenance personnel with minor repairs or tasks when requested.
• Transport materials, move heavy boxes, and assist with deliveries.
• Supplies & Inventory Organization
• Keep janitorial closets and supply rooms clean, organized, and well-stocked.
• Track inventory levels for cleaning supplies, paper goods, and materials.
• Notify management when supplies need to be reordered.
• Follow proper labeling, storage, and chemical-handling procedures. General Operations Support
• Assist with preparation for inspections, walk-throughs, and special projects.
• Report any unusual activity, safety concerns, or incidents promptly.
• Follow all company policies, safety standards, and resort procedures.
• Maintain a professional appearance and uphold Harbour Beach Resort's customer-service standards at all times. Qualifications
• Prior janitorial, housekeeping, or maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., perform repetitive physical tasks, and work on feet for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Must pass background screening due to access to secure and private areas.
• Professional, courteous, and capable of interacting with guests and owners respectfully.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions and established cleaning protocols.
