The Janitorial Services employee performs cleaning and maintenance duties to ensure a clean, safe, and sanitary environment in Federal facilities. This role requires handling various cleaning tasks efficiently, either as part of a team or independently, while maintaining security standards required for Federal facilities. Perform routine cleaning duties, including dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces. Clean and disinfect restrooms, kitchen areas, and other common spaces. Remove trash, recycle materials, and replenish supplies as needed. Maintain cleaning equipment and report maintenance or repair needs. Work cooperatively with team members or independently to complete assigned tasks. Follow all safety and security protocols, including those associated with Secret clearance requirements. Ensure proper use of cleaning chemicals and supplies. Monitor facility for cleanliness, sanitation, and safety issues, reporting concerns as necessary.

Job Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 1 year experience providing janitorial support. Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Knowledge of cleaning techniques, materials, and equipment. Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions. Strong work ethic and reliability. Basic communication and organizational skills.

Working Conditions:

Work occurs in both office, warehouse and field environments. May require work outside of regular business hours to address urgent technical issues or project deadlines.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds. Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods. Ability to work in varied environmental conditions, including outdoor and industrial settings.
