A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.
We are seeking a full-time Cleaning Clerk to maintain clean, safe, and well-organized areas throughout our store while supporting a positive experience for customers and employees. This position includes cleaning and sanitizing floors, restrooms, common areas, workspaces, and other assigned areas, removing trash, responding to spills, restocking cleaning supplies, and assisting with general sanitation duties. This full-time position requires flexibility to work rotating shifts, including morning and closing schedules based on business needs.

Requirements:
Cleaning Clerk Qualifications:
Must be able to work rotating shifts between 7:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m., including weekends and holidays as needed. Shifts may include schedules such as 7:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. or 3:00 p.m.-11:00 p.m., based on business needs. Previous experience as a Cleaning Clerk, Cleaner, Janitor, Custodian, Housekeeper, Sanitation Worker, Commercial Cleaner, or similar position preferred. Experience cleaning and sanitizing floors, restrooms, common areas, workspaces, and other high-traffic areas preferred. Willingness to sweep, mop, vacuum, remove trash, clean spills, sanitize surfaces, and perform general cleaning duties throughout the store. Ability to safely use cleaning products, supplies, tools, and equipment according to established procedures. Able to monitor assigned areas throughout the shift and respond promptly to spills, cleanliness concerns, and sanitation needs. Willingness to restock cleaning supplies and maintain cleaning areas, equipment, and storage spaces clean and organized. Responsible, reliable, punctual, and able to complete assigned tasks with attention to detail and a sense of urgency. Able to stand, walk, bend, and remain physically active for extended periods while performing the duties required for the position. Ability to work independently while also supporting managers and team members with additional cleaning and sanitation needs. Bilingual English and Spanish preferred, but not required.
