Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Janitorial / Custodian to join our busy warehouse and office environment. In this vital role, you will ensure the cleanliness, safety, and overall maintenance of our facilities, creating a welcoming and sanitary space for employees, visitors, and clients alike. Your proactive approach to cleaning and upkeep will help maintain operational efficiency and uphold our high standards of hygiene and safety. Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of office areas, warehouse floors, restrooms, break rooms, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and industrial vacuums. Handle chemical agents safely while performing sanitation tasks, adhering strictly to chemical handling safety procedures. Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling of supplies, trash, and cleaning equipment following safe lifting practices to prevent injury. Maintain cleanliness of floors through buffing, floor care, and polishing to ensure a professional appearance. Restock supplies such as paper products, hand sanitizers, and cleaning materials in designated areas. Follow safety protocols during all custodial activities to prevent accidents or hazards within the facility. Collaborate with facilities maintenance teams for repairs or additional cleaning needs, supporting overall building upkeep. Experience Prior custodial or janitorial experience in a commercial or industrial setting is preferred. Familiarity with cleaning procedures including sanitation standards for warehouses and offices. Experience handling cleaning chemicals safely and knowledge of chemical agent safety procedures. Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and industrial vacuums effectively. Strong understanding of safety protocol adherence related to heavy lifting, manual handling, and facilities maintenance.
