ABM Industries is seeking a reliable Janitorial Cleaner for evening PM shifts to keep client facilities clean, safe, and welcoming. Responsibilities include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, restroom sanitation, trash and recycling removal, and restocking supplies. You'll follow safety procedures, use cleaning chemicals and equipment properly, and respond to work orders or supervisor direction. Working independently and as part of a team, you'll support ABM's culture of safety, respect, and inclusion while maintaining high cleanliness standards in commercial, education, healthcare, or industrial environments. Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and wiping surfaces Clean and sanitize restrooms, breakrooms, and common areas; restock soap, paper, and other supplies Collect, bag, and remove trash and recyclables to designated collection points Operate basic cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor machines, and carts safely Follow all ABM and client safety procedures, including proper use of PPE and handling of chemicals Secure assigned areas by closing doors, turning off lights, and reporting any safety or maintenance issues Follow supervisor instructions, work orders, and cleaning schedules to meet quality standards Work independently and as part of a team to complete tasks within assigned PM shift timeframes Required Skills Commercial cleaning Floor care (sweeping, mopping, buffing) Restroom sanitation Trash and recycling handling Use of cleaning chemicals and equipment Safety and PPE compliance Basic equipment inspection Time management Detail orientation Basic English reading/signage comprehension
