Execute floor care tasks such as mopping, buffing, stripping, waxing, and carpet cleaning to maintain high standards of cleanliness. Operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring all tools are maintained in good working order. Follow strict safety protocols during manual handling and heavy lifting activities to prevent injuries. Support infection prevention efforts by adhering to healthcare-specific sanitation standards and protocols. Respond promptly to cleaning requests from healthcare staff or management while maintaining excellent customer service standards. Maintain detailed records of cleaning activities, chemical usage, and safety inspections in compliance with healthcare regulations. Skills Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to chemical handling, manual handling, and workplace safety practices. Experience in healthcare facilities housekeeping or janitorial services within hospital environments. Proficiency in using various cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, buffers, vacuums, and steam cleaners. Strong understanding of sanitation procedures essential for infection control in healthcare settings. Ability to handle chemical agents safely while following proper disposal procedures. Physical stamina for heavy lifting and prolonged periods of manual handling activities with safe lifting practices. Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude when interacting with staff and visitors.
