Duties Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, common areas, and other designated spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers. Handle chemical agents safely while performing sanitation tasks, adhering strictly to chemical handling safety procedures. Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling of cleaning supplies, furniture, and equipment following safe lifting practices. Maintain cleanliness of floors through buffing, polishing, and floor care techniques to ensure a polished appearance. Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap dispensers, and cleaning materials to ensure continuous availability. Follow safety protocols during all custodial activities to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with health standards. Assist with basic facilities maintenance tasks including minor repairs and residential painting as needed to support overall building upkeep. Skills Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles with strong knowledge of commercial or industrial cleaning practices. Skilled in the use of cleaning equipment including floor buffers, vacuums, mops, and other custodial tools. Ability to handle chemical agents safely while following all safety protocol adherence guidelines. Physical capability for heavy lifting and manual handling tasks required for maintaining large areas efficiently. Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with staff and visitors when necessary. Familiarity with sanitation standards and facilities maintenance procedures to uphold health regulations.
