A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Summer Facilities Services Team Member
THIS POSITION IS ONLY FOR THE SUMMER
2026, May 7 - Aug 26, 2026 Qualifications for
Position:
Physical Requirements:
Ability to navigate uneven terrain Able to stoop and bend Able to stand for extended periods of time No allergies to cleaners, dust, etc. Ability to lift 30 lbs. several times throughout the day
Age:
at least 16 years old required
Expected Duties and Responsibilities:
To work with and assist the Facilities Services Building Coordinators with daily tasks. Observe needed repairs/damages across campus and report them utilizing the Maintenance Direct work request system. Responsible for following instructions and seeking clarification when needed. Adhere to all safety practices and training. Perform other duties as assigned.
