What they do

A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Dust and clean walls, doors, windows and other surfaces above floor. Dust, clean and polish furniture and fixtures. Police common areas. Police around building exterior. Empty trash from offices and other assigned areas and place in designated areas for disposal. Notify supervisor of equipment and facilities needing repair or replacement. Perform other related work as required and/ or instructed.
Requirements:
General knowledge of cleaning methods, materials and equipment. You'll need to be able to stand for long periods of time and maintain a positive attitude while engaging in repetitive tasks. The ability to perform manual tasks requiring moderate physical strength which may include the use of cleaning equipment deemed necessary to perform the daily duties of the position. The ability to follow oral and written instruction. The ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with your supervisor and other co-workers. Ability to comply with Federal vaccine mandate per contract site with or without a reasonable accommodation.
