Duties Perform comprehensive cleaning of all designated areas, including floors, restrooms, offices, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies. Conduct floor care activities such as buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing to maintain a professional appearance. Handle industrial cleaning tasks that may include cleaning large machinery or specialized equipment in commercial or industrial facilities. Maintain janitorial supplies inventory and ensure all cleaning tools are properly stored and maintained. Follow safety protocols during cleaning procedures to prevent accidents or damage to property. Report any maintenance issues or hazards encountered during the shift to the appropriate personnel for prompt resolution. Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed efficiently to prepare the facility for the next day's operations. Requirements Proven janitorial or custodial experience with a strong understanding of cleaning techniques and safety standards. Knowledge of floor care procedures including buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing. Experience with commercial or industrial cleaning environments preferred. Ability to operate cleaning machinery such as buffers, floor scrubbers, and vacuums effectively. Strong attention to detail with excellent time management skills to complete tasks thoroughly within scheduled hours. Physical stamina to stand, bend, lift, and perform repetitive cleaning motions throughout the shift. Prior experience in facilities maintenance or porter roles is advantageous but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
