TRS POSITION SUMMARY

Provide supervision, guidance, and training for assigned custodial personnel at a school or facility and perform required duties to maintain a clean, sanitary, attractive, safe, and orderly environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education, Experience, and Other Requirements:

High School Diploma or state-approved High School Equivalency (HSE) preferred. Minimum of one (1) year of experience in custodial services preferred. Proven ability to work with others in a confidential, cooperative, and service-oriented manner; excellent listening and communication skills required. Must be regularly, predictably, and reliably at work. Ability to be present at the physical worksite. May be exposed to fumes, odors, dust, gases, and poor ventilation. May be exposed to extreme temperatures. May be regularly required to walk, stand, sit, crouch, crawl, push/pull, and lift up to 100 lbs. with assistance. Must be able to properly and consistently supervise students, particularly during emergency situations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Schedule, supervise, monitor, and assign employees to perform regular custodial tasks and special project work. Perform various custodial and maintenance duties such as cleaning, landscaping, and making minor repairs to building equipment. Make requisitions for custodial supplies, materials, and equipment necessary for the proper maintenance and safety of the facility and submit to appropriate administrators. Submit work orders and HVAC requests. Conduct formal and informal inspections of the building and grounds. Maintain necessary records and schedules and prepare reports concerning operations and performance. Provide individual and group training to custodial staff. Perform other duties as assigned.
