Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Prep and Cleaning Associate to support our culinary team in delivering high-quality food services. This role involves preparing ingredients, assisting with meal assembly, maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen, and ensuring food safety standards are met. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong commitment to hygiene and safety protocols. Responsibilities Assist with food preparation, including chopping, slicing, and portioning ingredients using proper knife skills Support menu planning and meal assembly according to dietary guidelines and recipes Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, utensils, and equipment through regular cleaning and sanitizing Handle food items safely in compliance with food safety standards and regulations Assist with food handling during meal service, catering, or special events Ensure proper storage of ingredients and leftovers to prevent contamination Support the culinary team in daily kitchen operations to ensure smooth workflow Skills Experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is preferred Knowledge of menu planning, food preparation, and cooking techniques Familiarity with food service operations, including food handling and safety procedures Restaurant or culinary experience is highly desirable Strong knife skills for efficient prep work Ability to perform meal preparation efficiently while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices in a kitchen environment Ability to work well within a team and follow detailed instructions for meal assembly and cleaning tasks
