Job Summary 1099 Employee janitor/Cleaner-need 2 part-time cleaners-4 hours per shift M-F, 20 hours per week-6pm to 10pm We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Janitor/Cleaner to join our dynamic facilities maintenance team. Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of all designated areas, including floors, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers. Handle chemical agents safely by following proper chemical handling safety procedures to ensure effective sanitation without risking health or safety. Conduct heavy lifting tasks in accordance with safe lifting practices when moving furniture, supplies, or cleaning equipment. Maintain cleanliness standards by sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and disinfecting surfaces regularly. Operate custodial equipment efficiently, including floor buffers, carpet cleaners, and other cleaning machinery to enhance floor care and overall sanitation. Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap dispensers, and other consumables to ensure continuous availability for staff and visitors. Follow all safety protocols during cleaning activities to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with health regulations. Assist with minor facilities maintenance tasks as needed, including basic repairs or reporting issues requiring specialized attention. Support customer service efforts by maintaining a tidy environment that promotes comfort and professionalism for all facility users. Qualifications Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings preferred. Knowledge of cleaning techniques and familiarity with various cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and carpet cleaners. Ability to handle chemical agents safely while adhering to chemical handling safety procedures. Physical capability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting while following safe lifting practices. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to sanitation standards and safety protocols. Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a busy environment. Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and respond professionally to facility needs.
