Seeking Custodians/Trash Technicians for logistics facility in Bolingbrook, IL starting ASAP. This is a janitorial position that will require MILES of walking a day.

$18.00/hour Composite shoes/boots required

Shifts:

Site is currently under construction so working 8a-4:30p Monday-Friday then should be prepared to work similar to below (4, 10 hour shifts): Sunday-Wednesday, 5a-3:30p Sunday-Wednesday, 5p-3:30a Wednesday-Saturday, 5am-330p Wednesday-Saturday, 5pm-330am

Essential Duties:

Clean and maintain warehouse, production, office, break room, restroom, and common areas. Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitize floors and surfaces. Clean and disinfect restrooms, sinks, toilets, fixtures, and high-touch areas. Empty trash and recycling containers and transport waste to designated collection areas. Operate cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, buffers, vacuums, and other janitorial equipment. Refill restroom and cleaning supplies as needed. Clean spills and maintain walkways and work areas free of debris and hazards. Assist with cleaning around warehouse equipment and work areas while maintaining required safety clearances. Follow proper procedures for handling cleaning chemicals and hazardous materials. Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). Report spills, damage, unsafe conditions, maintenance issues, or other hazards to the appropriate supervisor. Follow facility rules as well as the subcontractor's policies and procedures. Work safely around forklifts, pallet jacks, conveyors, carts, and other warehouse equipment. May operate a tugger machine or other powered equipment if trained and authorized. Perform additional cleaning and facility-support duties as assigned. Collect and remove trash and recycling from designated areas throughout the facility. Replace trash liners and clean waste receptacles as needed. Transport waste to designated disposal and recycling areas. Maintain cleanliness of docks, break rooms, restrooms, offices, and production areas. Respond promptly to spill cleanup and other housekeeping needs. Operate trash compactors, balers, and other equipment safely (if trained and authorized). Follow all site safety policies and company procedures. Report safety hazards, damaged equipment, or maintenance issues to supervisors. Maintain inventory of trash bags and cleaning supplies. Work effectively with team members and supervisors to meet daily cleaning schedules.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Frequently bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, and lift. Ability to lift and carry cleaning supplies and trash up to 50lbs Ability to work in a large, fast-paced warehouse environment. Ability to work around moving equipment and follow designated pedestrian and safety routes.
