Description:
Ludwig and Company, an Illinois property management firm with properties throughout the Midwest, is seeking to fill 1 janitor/light maintenance position. The position will be assigned to our 232 unit apartment community located in Chicago Heights, IL. Under the direction of the maintenance supervisor, the janitor is responsible for general cleaning and minor maintenance duties in maintaining multifamily housing complex, adjacent walks and grounds, and equipment in clean, orderly, and functional condition. Provides assistance to residents, visitors, and other employees as necessary. Receives oral or written orders from maintenance supervisor. Performs work according to standard procedure and by buildings operational schedule. Cleans rooms, hallways, restrooms, locker rooms, offices, stairways, and windows. Uses general cleaning equipment to maintain cleanliness. Makes minor carpentry, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing repairs. Prepares community rooms for use by tenants, staff, and organizations. Clears snow from entrances & walkways. Picks up and delivers supplies & materials to units. Follows all applicable safety rules & procedures. Reports work accomplished orally or on written work order to supervisor. Ability to shovel snow and do light weeding.
Requirements:
Requirements High school Diploma or GED equivalent required. No experience required Ability to lift & carry objects weighing from 25 to 50 pounds. Must be able to work in poor weather conditions. Excellent customer service and effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Valid Driver License.
