Perform any necessary custodial work to meet and maintain Building Service's high standards of cleanliness and sanitation. Duties would include but are not limited to picking up and removing trash and debris from campus grounds, streets, parking lots and sidewalks. The general cleaning of offices, classrooms, lobbies, lounges, stairwells, landings. Cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms and locker rooms on campus. This includes sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning toilets, urinals, and sinks, mirrors and windows both inside and out. Vacuuming and cleaning carpets. Maintain soap and paper supplies each day. Empty trash containers into the appropriate receptacles throughout campus. Cleaning with pressure washers as assigned. Assisting with and/or performing miscellaneous related duties as assigned. Education/Experience Preferred Qualification 1. Knowledge of cleaning solutions and custodial methods. 2. Ability to comprehend and follow oral instructions. 3. Ability to read and follow written instructions, directions, labeling and measurements Physical Demands 1. Ability to exert muscle force to lift, push, pull or carry objects. 2. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
