Job Description
Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. As a Janitor, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facility. If you have a strong work ethic, we encourage you to apply for this role.Duties:
- Perform various cleaning tasks to maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the facility.
- Use industrial cleaning equipment and supplies to clean high-traffic areas, floors, and surfaces.
- Conduct thorough cleaning of restrooms, including sinks, toilets, and mirrors.
- Clean and maintain all areas of the facility, including offices, common areas, classrooms, cafeteria, gymnasium and storage rooms.
- Remove trash and recyclables, and restock supplies as needed.
- Operate a porter cart to transport cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs or unclogging drains.
- Maintain the facility's appearance by ensuring all areas are clean, organized, and free of debris.
- Follow safety guidelines and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Collaborate with other maintenance staff to ensure seamless operations and perform all other duties as assigned.
Experience:
- Previous experience in custodial services is preferred, but not necessary. We will train.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for long periods of time.
- Familiarity with commercial cleaning products and equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality results.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new cleaning methods and technologies.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Must pass criminal background check and have valid driver's license or state ID.
