A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

This position is responsible for daily janitorial tasks around the hangars and facilities. The job duties will vary each day and are designated by the Facilities Maintenance Manager. You will beESSENTIAL

including: Clean floors: sweep, dust, wet mop, scrub or vacuum. Service, clean and supply restrooms: toilets, urinals, sinks, fixtures, floors, trash, etc. Wet mop, strip, wax, seal and buff floors. Trash pick-up and removal, take to designated dumping area. Wash windows. Dust and clean light fixtures. Wash walls. Loading, unload, distribute supplies, service lobbies and high use areas and perform special cleaning. Operate powered equipment typically used in custodial operations. Keep janitorial closets clean and orderly. Paint touch up in break rooms and restrooms. Any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management. What you'll need to bring with you: Your Education A High school diploma or equivalent is required. Your Experience Custodian experience is preferred Your Initiative We're looking for quality oriented team members who are self-motivated and able to work in a fast paced environment. Your Responsibility Attend work every day as scheduled to include overtime and weekend assignments. Notify supervisor in advance of shift starting if unable to work. Must have reliable transportation to get to work each and every day. Follow all company and safety rules during performance of duties. Maintain a safe working environment. Report unsafe conditions to Facilities Maintenance Manager. Read and follow all label instructions on chemical materials and operating instructions for powered equipment. Report accidents immediately to Facilities Maintenance Manager.Other Particulars:
Physical Requirements Lift and carry at least 50 lbs. Bend, stoop and reach. Climbing ladders Routine walking, bending and squatting or sitting. Mental Requirements Work with others in a professional manner. Treat all building occupants with courtesy and respect at all times. Supervision Will work under supervision of Facilities Maintenance Manager. Working Conditions The majority of work will be accomplished in a heated hangar or shop area. Work with and around chemical cleaning compounds. Equipment Used Powered equipment normally found in janitorial operations. Compensation & Benefit Information The following information is disclosed according to state specific requirements. If the position applied to is not in a state with these requirements, the following information may not apply. The hourly rate for this position generally ranges between $18 - $21. Actual hourly rate will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience and performance. Additional compensation in the form of a shift differential will be provided if the employee is assigned to an alternate shift. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package. Other forms of compensation include a semi-annual discretionary bonus, 401(k) company match and employer contribution to a Health Savings Account (HSA).
