(40 hr./week) M-F evenings (11:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 12:00pm - 8:00pm) Overall Descriptions of the
Position:
The Gori Law Firm is looking for a reliable Custodian to join our team. As a Custodian at our company, you will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining the Edwardsville, IL facilities.
Position Requirements:
Ability to learn materials, methods, and equipment used in cleaning office buildings Ability to understand and carry out simple oral instructions Ability to work independently with little supervision Willingness to work hours other than the normal office hours.
Position Duties:
Keep building and property in clean and orderly condition. Perform routine maintenance activities. Perform heavy cleaning duties. Sweep, mop, scrub, and/or vacuum floors. Gather and empty trash. Scrub, sanitize, and supply restroom facilities. Dust furniture, walls, and equipment. Clean windows, mirrors, and partitions with soap and other cleansers. Mix cleaning solutions and chemicals in containers in preparation for cleaning, according to instructions. Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power machinery to prevent damage to floors and fixtures. Cleans and polish fixtures and furniture. Shampoo or steam-clean carpets and rugs. Manage inventory of cleaning supplies. Notify managers regarding the need for repairs or additions to building operating systems.
Certificates and Licenses:
Must pass criminal history background check.
Tools and Equipment:
janitorial equipment including floor buffer, steam cleaner, carpet cleaner, washer, vacuum, mop, broom, ladder and dusting equipment.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.
