In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of commercial spaces, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for clients and staff alike. Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of floors, including scrubbing, buffing, waxing, and refinishing to maintain optimal appearance and safety standards. Handle cleaning tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, trash removal, and sanitizing surfaces in accordance with company protocols. Operate cleaning equipment including floor buffers, carpet cleaners, floor scrubbers, and other janitorial tools efficiently and safely. Manage the application of floor care products such as floor cleaning chemicals, floor waxing agents, and floor polishing solutions to preserve flooring integrity. Safely handle chemical agents used in cleaning processes, adhering to environmental safety guidelines and proper handling procedures. Conduct manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting of equipment or supplies while maintaining proper ergonomic practices. Provide excellent customer service by addressing client needs promptly and professionally during cleaning operations. Experience Prior janitorial or custodial experience in a commercial environment is preferred. Familiarity with various cleaning techniques including carpet cleaning, floor buffing, and floor refinishing is highly desirable. Knowledge of environmental services standards and safety protocols related to chemical handling and equipment use. Experience operating commercial cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, buffers, and carpet extractors is advantageous. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently as part of routine cleaning tasks. Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness standards across multiple areas.
