Lead Technician — Job Description Waterwerks | Window Cleaning & Pressure Washing Position Summary The Lead Technician is responsible for overseeing daily field operations at their assigned location, ensuring jobs are completed on time, to standard, and safely. This role acts as the on-the-ground decision maker for technical and scheduling issues, working closely with the Sales Leader and reporting directly to ownership. The Lead Tech is expected to operate with a high degree of independence, using established company protocols to resolve day-to-day issues without needing ownership involvement for routine matters. Key Responsibilities Oversee and coordinate the daily schedule for all field technicians, ensuring jobs are dispatched, completed, and closed out correctly Serve as the first point of escalation for on-site issues: equipment problems, access issues, customer concerns, and scheduling conflicts Maintain and enforce quality standards across all completed jobs, including spot-checking work when needed Train, mentor, and onboard new technicians on cleaning techniques, safety protocols, and company standards Manage truck and equipment assignments, including maintenance scheduling and inventory needs Coordinate with the Sales Leader on job scope changes, upsell opportunities identified in the field, and customer communication handoffs Use the company's Remote Operations Authority and Escalation Matrix to determine which decisions can be made independently versus escalated to ownership Report recurring issues, technician performance concerns, or operational bottlenecks to ownership on a regular cadence Fill in on jobs directly when short-staffed or during high-volume periods Support hiring by helping evaluate technical skill during the interview process for new field hires Requirements Minimum 1-2 years of hands-on experience in window cleaning, pressure washing, or a comparable field service trade Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions under time pressure without direct supervision Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (will be operating and overseeing company vehicles) Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 lbs and work at heights using ladders and safety equipment Comfortable using basic scheduling and CRM software (training provided on Flyra) Strong communication skills, both with technicians in the field and with customers directly Reliable transportation and availability for early morning starts and occasional weekend work during peak season Prior experience leading, training, or supervising other workers, whether in this industry or another Preferred Qualifications Experience specifically in residential or light commercial window cleaning or pressure washing Prior role with dispatch, scheduling, or route management responsibilities Familiarity with recurring service/subscription-based business models Basic understanding of business metrics (job completion rates, callback rates, technician efficiency) What Success Looks Like in This Role Jobs are completed on schedule with minimal need for ownership intervention Customer complaints related to technician performance or scheduling decrease over time New technicians are onboarded and performing independently within an established timeframe Escalations to ownership are limited to genuinely high-stakes or ambiguous situations, not routine decisions covered by the escalation matrix Compensation Compensation will be discussed based on experience and will include a base rate plus performance incentives tied to job completion, quality, and team efficiency metrics. Pay:
$900.00 - $1,300.00 per week
