Full Job Description Summary:

Under the direction of the Aquatics & Facility Manager, the Part-Time SPRC Custodian shall perform maintenance tasks which include, but are not limited to, delivering high quality, detailed cleaning services that meet sanitation standards and ensure a welcoming environment for all patrons at the Stephen D. Persinger Recreation Center. This includes repairs and improvements to the interior and exterior of these facilities and grounds. Working hours are Satudays 10:00am-6:00pm. Hours may vary depending on the needs of the facility.

Starting at$17/hr

Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications include completion of a high school education and familiarity with cleaning equipment, tools and supplies, as well as a strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards. Knowledge toward repairs and maintenance of facilities and grounds desirable.

Essential Functions:

Perform custodial maintenance for continual upkeep and cleanliness of the Stephen D. Persinger Recreation Center. Complete room and gym setups based on facility schedule. Operate and maintain cleaning equipment. Review inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment and report any new or replacement materials to the Aquatics & Facility Manager via written request. Secure all doors and windows in the facility during operating hours and at closing. Remove snow on sidewalks at front entryway to the facility and at the exterior of all exit doors. Complete facility maintenance schedule and checklist including cleaning wood floors, steam room walls and floors, exercise equipment, vacuuming all carpeted floors, cleaning of windows, track floor, etc.

Physical Requirements:

Handling Park District materials up to 100 pounds. Assistance will be provided when necessary. Ability to operate machines necessary for job function, including but not limited to, riding floor scrubber, carpet extractors, etc.
