Hampton Inn - New Build Hotel Full-Time | Hotel Maintenance About the Position We are seeking a dependable, hands-on Hotel Maintenance Technician to join the team at our brand-new Hampton Inn. This position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, safety, and overall condition of the hotel through routine janitorial work, preventative maintenance, and light building repairs. The ideal candidate is someone who takes pride in their work, notices the small details, and enjoys keeping a property looking and operating its best. Previous hotel maintenance experience is preferred but not required. We are willing to train the right person. Key Responsibilities Perform daily janitorial and cleaning duties throughout the hotel, including public areas, back-of-house areas, entrances, hallways, and exterior areas. Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests and team members. Perform routine preventative maintenance throughout the property.
Complete light repairs involving:
Plumbing Electrical fixtures and outlets Doors, locks, and hardware Drywall and paint Flooring and carpeting Furniture and fixtures Bathroom fixtures HVAC filters and basic maintenance Respond to guest and staff maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner. Inspect guest rooms and public areas for maintenance issues and report or correct problems as appropriate. Assist with maintaining hotel equipment and mechanical areas. Perform basic grounds and exterior maintenance, including entrances, sidewalks, trash areas, and parking areas. Assist with snow/ice removal and seasonal property maintenance as needed. Maintain adequate supplies of cleaning and maintenance materials. Follow all hotel, safety, OSHA, and brand standards. Work with outside contractors and service technicians when necessary. Document completed maintenance and repairs. Identify potential problems before they become larger or more costly issues. Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager. Qualifications Previous maintenance, janitorial, custodial, hotel, apartment, or building maintenance experience preferred. Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship. Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general building maintenance. Ability to safely operate basic hand and power tools. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks. Dependable, punctual, and able to respond to maintenance needs promptly. Friendly and professional demeanor when interacting with hotel guests. Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment and supplies as required. Ability to work on ladders and perform physical tasks associated with building maintenance. Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed.
