Overview Bethel Grade School is looking for an evening custodian to help keep our school clean and maintianed for our students and staff. The shift begins at 1:00 PM and ends at 9:00 PM, Monday through Friday. The position is 260 days a year, with paid holidays, paid vacation time, 18 sick days, and 3 personal days. Responsibilities Nighlty cleaning of classroom and office floors and trash removal. Nightly cleaning of restrooms Maintian the grounds and perform mowing tasks. Perform minor facilities maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs or reporting repairs needed for plumbing or electrical issues. Help set up and clean up after special events. Requirements Proven custodial or janitorial experience with knowledge of commercial or industrial cleaning procedures. Familiarity with cleaning equipment including floor buffers, vacuums, and other custodial tools. Ability to handle chemical agents safely by understanding chemical handling safety procedures. Physical capability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking during shifts. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to ensure thorough cleaning and sanitation. Good communication skills with a customer service-oriented approach when interacting with staff or visitors if needed.
