RMK Management is seeking a motivated and dependable Janitor/ Light Maintenance Technician to join our team at Regency Place Apartments, a boutique, high-end mixed-use community in Oakbrook Terrace. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work and is eager to contribute to maintaining and enhancing a premier property. What You'll Do:

Maintain a clean, attractive environment across the property, including the leasing office, clubroom, pool area, and all common spaces Keep streets, curbs, sidewalks, breezeways, and stairwells clean and well-maintained Clean and maintain mail/package rooms, garages, doors, and light fixtures (including timely bulb replacement) Empty trash receptacles daily and ensure proper waste management Clean and maintain pool and spa areas, including furniture and chemical testing Assist with apartment make-readies and ensure units are move-in ready Complete work orders promptly and efficiently Perform basic maintenance tasks such as filter changes, light repairs, minor carpentry, and door adjustments Diagnose and assist with appliance repairs Participate in preventative maintenance programs Take part in an after-hours on-call rotation (one week at a time) Assist with snow removal and grounds upkeep as needed Report property concerns (e.g., inoperable vehicles) to management Follow all company policies, safety regulations (including OSHA), and compliance standards (Fair Housing, FTC) Maintain professional, courteous communication with residents, vendors, and team members Support the Maintenance Supervisor and Property Manager as needed Why Join RMK? Requirements:

At least 1 year of janitorial or cleaning experience (multifamily preferred) Basic knowledge of carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and appliances Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Strong attention to detail and reliability Willingness to learn and grow within the company Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
