Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Janitorial Worker to maintain cleanliness and safety across our facilities. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all areas are kept spotless, sanitized, and well-maintained to promote a healthy environment for staff and visitors alike. Your proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance will help uphold the high standards of hygiene and safety that our organization values. Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across various facility areas Handle chemical agents safely during cleaning processes, adhering strictly to chemical handling safety procedures Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, vacuums, and other custodial tools effectively and safely Conduct floor care activities including buffing, polishing, stripping, and sealing to maintain optimal flooring conditions Assist with heavy lifting tasks using safe lifting practices when moving furniture, supplies, or equipment Follow established safety protocols to ensure a hazard-free environment during all cleaning activities Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, kitchens, hallways, offices, and other designated spaces with attention to sanitation standards Support basic facilities maintenance tasks as needed, including minor repairs or reporting issues promptly Provide excellent customer service by responding courteously to staff or visitor inquiries related to cleanliness or facility needs Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are properly stored and maintained for optimal use Experience Prior janitorial or custodial experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate Familiarity with commercial or industrial cleaning techniques and equipment is advantageous Knowledge of chemical handling safety procedures and sanitation standards is highly desirable Experience with floor buffing, polishing, or other floor care techniques is a plus Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude toward teamwork and customer service Join us in creating a safe and spotless environment!
