Job Title:
Cleaner $20hr Job Description This role focuses on performing detailed final cleaning for a data center environment, ensuring all areas and equipment are thoroughly cleaned, sanitized, and ready for use in a commercial or industrial setting. Responsibilities Perform final cleaning of data center areas, ensuring all surfaces and equipment meet cleanliness and sanitation standards. Wipe down server racks, equipment, and surrounding structures with attention to detail and care. Sweep, mop, and dust floors, walkways, and facility spaces to maintain a clean and safe environment. Work at heights up to approximately 8 feet on ladders to dust servers, wires, and overhead structures using broom dusters or similar tools. Use appropriate cleaning tools, buffers, and equipment as needed to complete assigned tasks efficiently. Follow all safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment (PPE) while working on commercial or industrial construction sites. Support general labor and janitorial duties as needed, including handling debris and maintaining orderly work areas. Collaborate with team members and follow direction from supervisors to complete cleaning scopes on schedule. Essential Skills Experience performing cleaning, sanitizing, or janitorial duties in commercial or industrial environments. Ability to work comfortably and safely at heights, including standing on ladders approximately 8 feet high. Familiarity with working on commercial or industrial construction sites. Experience with general labor tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and dusting. Ability to operate or work around scissor lifts or boom lifts. Lift certification for scissor lift or boom lift, or the ability to obtain it as required. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow cleaning scopes and safety procedures. Additional Skills & Qualifications Prior cleaning experience in a commercial or industrial setting. Janitorial or sanitation experience in any environment. Customer service experience involving direct customer interaction. Experience using buffers or specialized cleaning equipment. Comfort working in active construction or industrial environments. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wood Dale, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $35.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
