Hart City Flea Market is looking for a dependable, hardworking individual to provide maintenance and janitorial support throughout our store and property. This is a hands-on position that requires someone who is comfortable staying active, lifting and moving items, helping keep the facility clean and organized, performing light maintenance, and assisting with cashiering and store closing duties when needed. Responsibilities Perform general janitorial and cleaning duties throughout the store and facility. Help keep restrooms, floors, common areas, and other areas clean and presentable. Assist with light maintenance and basic repairs as needed. Help move, lift, load, and unload heavy items and equipment. Assist with moving furniture and other merchandise when needed. Provide support to cashiers during busy periods or when additional help is needed. Accurately process cash and other payment transactions when assisting at the register. Assist with opening and closing the store when scheduled. Complete closing procedures, including accurately counting and reconciling the cash drawer and securing the store. Follow company policies and procedures for handling and securing money. Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications Able to regularly lift and move heavy items. Physically able to perform cleaning, maintenance, lifting, bending, standing, and walking throughout the workday. Dependable and punctual. Comfortable working independently and taking initiative. Able to follow instructions and complete tasks in a timely manner. Comfortable handling cash and accurately processing transactions. Able to responsibly count, reconcile, and secure a cash drawer. Must be willing and able to open and/or close the store when scheduled. Basic maintenance or repair experience is a plus. Janitorial or commercial cleaning experience is a plus. Previous cashier or customer service experience is a plus. Bilingual in English and Spanish. The right person should be comfortable switching between maintenance, cleaning, moving items, and assisting customers or cashiers when needed. Previous maintenance, janitorial, or cashier experience is helpful, but we are willing to consider someone with the right work ethic and willingness to learn.

Pay:

$12.00 - $18.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
