Job Summary Monday-Friday / 9am-1pm OR Monday-Friday / 5:30pm-9:30pm We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented General Cleaner with EMS experience to join our team in Indianapolis, IN 46241. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation across various facilities by performing a range of janitorial and custodial tasks. Your efforts will contribute to creating safe, hygienic, and welcoming spaces for clients and staff alike. Duties Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, and restroom sanitation using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemicals. Handle chemical agents safely by following established safety protocols and handling procedures to ensure a secure environment. Operate floor buffers and other floor care equipment to maintain high standards of cleanliness and shine on various flooring surfaces. Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling of supplies, furniture, or equipment while adhering to safe lifting practices. Maintain cleanliness of common areas, offices, restrooms, and specialized spaces according to facility standards. Assist with minor maintenance tasks such as touch-up painting or basic repairs to support overall facilities upkeep. Follow safety protocols diligently during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Requirements Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or institutional settings. Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and the proper use of cleaning equipment such as floor buffers. Ability to handle chemical agents safely by understanding chemical handling safety procedures. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks while practicing safe lifting techniques. Strong attention to detail with excellent time management skills for completing daily cleaning routines efficiently. Customer service mindset with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
