What they do
A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Job Description
The Kokomo-Howard County Public Library is proud of its immaculate facilities and seeks a Custodian to help maintain its distinguished reputation. We have a 40-hour full-time position available. Hours include evenings and weekends. The rate starts at $16.43/hour. Requirements are a high school diploma or equivalent, 1 year of relevant experience, and a valid driver's license. The primary responsibilities are opening/closing the library, floor care (using cleaning equipment as needed), cleaning, stocking vending machines, and courier duties.
