A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Job Description
We are looking for a part-time custodian to work hours in the late afternoon & early evening. The hours for this position are from 4:00 p.m.- 7:00 p.m. daily for a total of 15 hours per week. Job consists of keeping the premises of the main office building in clean and orderly condition by performing the following duties, as scheduled by supervisor. Cleans & sanitizes rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors and other work areas; Sweeps floors; Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, draperies and mats; Dusts & sanitizes furniture and equipment. Polishes metalwork; Washes walls, ceiling, and woodwork. Washes windows, door panels, and sills; Empties wastebaskets; Transports trash and waste to disposal area. A high school diploma or GED is required and training will be offered if you have no prior experience.
