A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Doing:
The successful candidate for this Custodial Supervisor position will supervise shift custodial operations for 25-40 custodians assigned to up to 20 buildings within the Building Services Department. Responsibilities include planning, coordinating, and scheduling custodial activities; requisitioning general custodial supplies; maintaining inventory for assigned buildings; and approving and monitoring work hours, overtime, and flextime. The Custodial Supervisor will travel among assigned buildings and inspect individual areas for compliance with customer service standards, department expectations, safety procedures, and other operational requirements. This position will consult with the General Manager regarding daily shift activities and provide updates on operational challenges, concerns, and resource needs. The successful candidate will foster teamwork and support staff professional development. The typical work schedule for this position is Monday-Thursday + Sunday, 10:30 pm to 7:00 am. Apply Today!
