What You'll Do:
This is a Full-Time Hourly PositionOur warehouse Janitors, you are responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in the distribution center to ensure a safe, clean, and efficient work environment. This role involves performing routine janitorial duties, including cleaning floors, restrooms, common areas, and offices, as well as handling minor maintenance tasks. The Janitor will support the overall operations of the distribution center by creating a hygienic and organized space for employees and visitors. Sweep, mop, vacuum, and sanitize floors in various areas, including the warehouse floor, restrooms, break rooms, hallways, lockers and offices. Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces, including doorknobs, light switches, countertops, and other common areas to maintain hygiene. Empty trash bins and replace liners; dispose of waste properly and recycle materials according to company guidelines. Clean and restock restrooms with necessary supplies (toilet paper, soap, paper towels) to ensure proper hygiene. Maintain cleanliness and organization in employee break rooms, lunch areas, and any other common spaces. Maintain floors by ensuring they are free of debris, dirt, or spills that could present a hazard. Assist with cleaning of windows, walls, or any other areas that require regular maintenance. Report any maintenance or repair needs, including damaged equipment or areas in need of attention, to the Director of Operations or relevant supervisor. Follow proper procedures for handling and storing cleaning supplies, ensuring safe use of chemicals and equipment. Maintain proper safety practices while working with janitorial equipment (e.g., floor scrubbers, vacuums). Monitor and maintain cleaning supplies inventory; request replenishments as needed to ensure an adequate stock of materials. Keep storage areas organized and ensure proper handling of cleaning products. Respond promptly to urgent cleaning needs, such as spills or accidents, to minimize operational disruptions.
Environmental Factors & Working Schedule:
Regularly requires standing, walking, sitting, and various movements such as reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling, along with talking and hearing. Ability to lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds regularly. Repetitively maneuvering and handling of product up to 50 pounds.
Vision requirements:
Requires close, distance, and color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Occasional exposure to wet/humid conditions, moving parts, fumes, airborne particles, extreme temperatures, electrical shock risks, and toxic or caustic chemicals. Work environment typically has low to moderate noise levels.• To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
