A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Typical duties include but are not limited to: + Clean front offices: Vacuum, wipe down countertops, conference tables, dust, sweep/mop, and take out trash. + Clean bathrooms: Sanitize and clean all toilets, urinals, sinks, fixtures, partitions, walls, baseboards, and doors. Restock supplies and refill dispensers. Collect trash and replace liners. Sweep and mop floor. Follow cross-contamination procedures. + Clean breakrooms: Clean countertops, tables, refrigerator, baseboards, refill dispensers, trash removal, and sweep/mop. + Clean locker room: Wipe benches, trash removal, and sweep/mop. + Clean all office spaces: Vacuum and take out trash. + Restocking supplies: Restock supplies daily. + Wet/Dry mopping: Wet/dry mop each floor according to schedule. +
