Horse Stall Cleaner/Feeder/Farm Hand Kansas Center for Equine Reproduction Lawrence, KS Job Details Temporary | Part-time $15 - $17 an hour 16 hours ago Qualifications Interpersonal skills Equipment repair Driver's License Grinding Facilities maintenance Full Job Description The Kansas Center for Equine Reproduction (KsCER) located in Lawrence, Kansas is looking for seasonal, part time, full time stall cleaners / feeders for our facility. These positions offer the opportunity to work in an active horse breeding facility with great team members and clients. The focus of these positions is on maintaining the health and safety of horses, clients, and team members. These positions will require a flexible work week with schedules varying from Monday through Sunday. Candidates for this position must be able to work weekends. As a small business, reliability of team members in these positions is critical to our success. KsCER was established in 2016 and specializes in mare and stallion veterinary reproductive services across all horse breeds. KsCER's goal is to provide horse owners in the Midwest with access to high quality reproductive services from a board certified veterinary reproductive specialist.
Responsibilities for these positions include:
  • Cleaning stalls, facilities, and horses
  • Feeding and watering horses
  • Handling and leading horses between the barn, working area, and pastures
  • Assisting the veterinarian and other team members as requested
  • Project work including compost maintenance, grinding / painting farm equipment and fence building / repair
Qualifications:
  • Reliable with a strong work ethic
  • Team player, positive attitude, and flexible schedule
  • Possess a valid driver's license and have reliable transportation
  • Ability to lift 70 lb bales of hay and carry for short distances
  • Experience with handling and restraining horses is desired but not required
