ABM Industries is seeking a Lead Custodial Cleaner to support safe, clean, and efficient facilities. In this role, you will perform and oversee daily cleaning, disinfecting, and floor care in commercial, education, healthcare, or aviation environments. You will lead a small team, train new staff on proper cleaning methods and safety procedures, and inspect work to meet ABM quality standards. The Lead Custodial Cleaner coordinates schedules, monitors supplies, and communicates with supervisors to resolve issues while promoting a respectful, inclusive, and safety-focused culture. Responsibilities Lead and support a team of custodial cleaners across assigned facilities Perform and oversee daily cleaning, trash removal, floor care, and restroom sanitation Inspect work areas to ensure ABM quality and safety standards are met Train new team members on cleaning procedures, equipment use, and chemical safety Coordinate schedules, task assignments, and supply usage to meet service levels Communicate with supervisors and clients regarding service needs and issues Follow all OSHA, safety, and infection-control guidelines Report maintenance issues and support special projects or event setups Required Skills Commercial cleaning procedures Floor care (sweeping, mopping, buffing) Restroom sanitation Use of cleaning chemicals and supplies Equipment operation (auto-scrubbers, vacuums, buffers) Safety and OSHA standards Team leadership and supervision Quality inspections and reporting Basic scheduling and task coordination Infection control and disinfection procedures
