Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Job Description
Position Summary The General Cleaner is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, and professional appearance of facilities. This role supports a safe, healthy, and welcoming environment for tenants, visitors, and building staff through detailed cleaning practices, safe chemical handling, and a customer service-focused approach. Essential Responsibilities Clean and maintain lobbies, offices, conference rooms, corridors, elevators, stairwells, and common areas Vacuum carpets; sweep, mop, and maintain hard surface flooring Clean and sanitize restrooms and replenish supplies Empty trash and recycling receptacles Dust surfaces, furniture, fixtures, and ledges Clean interior glass and high-touch surfaces Maintain breakrooms and tenant amenity areas Safely use and store cleaning chemicals in accordance with OSHA, SDS, and company safety guidelines Utilize proper PPE and follow safety procedures to prevent workplace accidents and exposure risks Identify and report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, spills, or damaged equipment immediately Deliver professional, courteous, and responsive customer service to tenants, guests, and property management teams Qualifications Previous commercial cleaning experience is A MUST Strong understanding of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety procedures Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to work independently and maintain professionalism in occupied office environments Pre-Employment Screening Requirements Criminal History Background Check Drug Screen Essential Duties & Physical Requirements This position requires the ability to perform physically demanding work in a commercial environment. Essential duties may include standing and walking for extended periods; frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, climbing, and repetitive movements; lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling equipment or materials weighing up to 50 pounds; and operating cleaning equipment, tools, and machinery safely and effectively. Employees may work in varying indoor conditions, around cleaning chemicals, noise, dust, and high-traffic areas. The ability to follow safety procedures, wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintain consistent attendance is essential to the role.
