WAIVER Announcement:

Interested applicants are encouraged to apply as soon as possible. Bullitt County Public Schools is requesting a waiver to fill this position before the standard 15-day posting period to ensure we are fully staffed for the upcoming school year. Eastside Middle School is seeking a reliable, hardworking Night Sweeper to join our team. We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, pays close attention to detail, is trustworthy, works well with others, and maintains excellent attendance.

Position Details

Hours:

4 hours per day

Work Year:

182 days

170 student instructional days

4 holidays

7 planning days

1 extended day

Contracted days will be adjusted based on start date.

This position is considered full-time with benefits.

Compensation

Step 0: $14.84 per hour

Step 10: $16.89 per hour

New employees may bring up to 10 years of comparable, full-time, verified experience.

(Upon hire, it is the employee's responsibility to submit the BCPS verification of experience form to their previous employer.)

Minimum Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent

Must provide a copy to HR once recommended for hire

How Salary Is Calculated

Classified positions are hourly, but pay is issued on a year-long contract and divided among remaining paychecks.

Four paychecks are issued at the end of June.

Formula:

Hours per day × hourly rate = daily rate

Daily rate × contracted days = annual salary

Annual salary ÷ remaining pay periods = biweekly pay

$20,000 policy paid by the State of Kentucky

$30,000 policy paid by Bullitt County Public Schools
